Wedding Inspiration

As our wedding gets closer and closer, I've been having a hard time putting all my ideas into words and organizing them. It's like I need to see everything so I don't miss out on a good idea. Pinterest has definitely helped me with this, and here are some images from my wedding Pinterest board.

Clockwise from the top left:

• I've been thinking a lot about my bouquet recently, and I've fallen in love with peonies. I love the blush color of these.
• How cute is this succulent hair piece? Guess what it would match??!
• Our wedding favors, which are small succulents.
• I have to get a picture in my wedding dress with my dogs.
• This is a picture of where Jim and I will be standing when we say our vows to each other.
• How cute is this sign? I want one!
• This is a picture of where we will have our reception, love the chandelier. 
• Our wedding venue is kind of in the middle of nowhere, so having cute signs to lead the way is a cute and helpful idea.
• Last but not least is the fisherman's knot.  The rope will break before the knot comes undone and the knot only gets tighter with pressure.

Town Lake

The weather has started to slightly (high of 90 woo!) cool down around here, so the other weekend we decided to go to Town Lake with Rocco, our friends Ty and Liz, and their dog Keeper.

Austin is such a beautiful city. We are surrounded by nature, yet we're minutes away from skyscrapers and downtown. I'm so glad I happened to end up here.

Bees!

So as you can see, these pics were taken at my favorite 'picture taking' spot, the garden for The East Side Cafe. During this visit we parked on a different side of the garden than usual, and I saw this ivy plant growing on the fence. How awesome are these flowers??? It should be noted that there were like billions of bees buzzing around, but that's ok because I know they won't sting me.. right bees... right?!?!

The day these pictures were taken, it was actually only 90 degrees outside. Funny how a 'cold front' in Texas means it's only 90....but whatever I'll take it. I can't wait to wear boots for the 2 cold months we have here!

Office casual

As you've seen before (here, and here), I work in a pretty casual office environment. Sometimes I think it would be kind of nice to dress up in fancy 'grown up' clothes, but for the most part I like the freedom I have to be creative with my work attire.

Hey, remember this belt? I finally returned it to my friend, and bought my own! yea! This belt is perfect for this top, which isn't fitted enough to be worn on it's own. I love this belt!

The last days of... oh wait never mind

So most of the other blogs I read are talking about how these are the last days of summer, so we should all take advantage of summer clothes now because boot weather is right around the corner. I wish that were true, but over here you'll be seeing alot more summer outfits from me.

New camera!

I.LOVE.MY.NEW.CAMERA. It is so much better than my crap gently used iPhone. Jim actually enjoys taking pics now, it's always nice to keep the photographer happy. I'm still learning how to edit the photos so stick with me here.

This skirt is actually a dress, but I felt like wearing it as a high waisted skirt instead. It's fun to change up clothing like this, makes me feel like I have more than I do, which is always good for a budget fashionista.

Walkin' Samster

Every night Jim and I take Sammie and Rocco on a walk around our neighborhood. Rocco likes to speed walk and always has to make sure there aren't any ninja cats hanging around, but Sammie likes to mosey along, and take her time. She's never really acted like a typical dog, she doesn't like toys or other dogs. Her favorite things have always been sleeping on someone's lap and eating. I like to think of her more like a cat.
